Zero-Tolerance AI Policy

Because readers deserve better.

At KTA Editorial, we are proud to implement a zero-tolerance AI policy. For us, that means we will never:

  • Feed your manuscripts into AI checkers
  • Use generative AI to edit any portion of your manuscript
  • Use generative AI to compose any portion of our edit letters

For our clients, our zero-tolerance policy means that you certify:

  • Your work is completely original and no portion of it has been drafted using generative AI
  • You will not take the editorial guidance we provide and feed it into generative AI programs to do the hard work for you

Why do we have this policy? Because we believe that readers deserve better than the low-quality writing that generative AI programs produce. Also, having had the extreme displeasure of editing several AI-generated manuscripts sent to us disingenuously under the guise of having been human-written, we can confidently say with 100% certainty that these books are not worth anyone’s time. We pour a great deal of time, effort, and expertise into each project, so if you can’t be bothered to write the work yourself, we can’t be bothered to help you fix what is inherently broken by trusting a machine to do the hard work for you. If that sounds harsh, good. Take your work elsewhere.
